Hello friends! Welcome to the Grey Harbor. You're probably reading this because you're wondering what Grey Harbor is and why I've been promoting it.
Basically, I've decided that I wanted to put this upcoming album under a project name, rather than just my own name, for a couple reasons. One, the style of some of these songs felt like they really could fit into something completely different than what I've put out under my own name in the past. I almost felt like I was limiting myself in some ways when producing these, because I didn't want to get too crazy, even though it probably didn't matter in the end. This was my project after all.
Second, I miss having a band. Creating this new project will allow for me to not be the focus as much and maybe get my music out there in different ways. It's gotten me a lot more excited about putting this album out than I was before. Instead of stripped down acoustic versions of some of these songs, you'll be hearing the full band versions that, in some cases, is how they were meant to be in the first place. Electric guitars and full drum kits are featured throughout most of these songs. Rock and roll.
Right now, the album is in the distribution process. I've decided to release another song (you've already heard Revived, I hope) today, to get the name and new music out there. Hopefully it will give you a taste of what I've been up to and what the new album will be like. The song is called Enemy and is a song I wrote back in high school. Shout out to my good friend David Deputy (of Blank Pages) for drumming on it!
Summer Rain will release hopefully in the first few days of August, if not sooner! I may even have tangible CDs and shirts, depending on reactions.
Thanks for the support.
